Curriculum vita of Dr Alessandro Micarelli
Since 15 November 2019, he has been Senior Researcher at Eurac Research, Institute of Mountain Emergency Medicine in Bolzano, Italy, and he was awarded the diploma in Advanced Training in Mountain Emergency Medicine by the University of Padua in the 2021 academic year, ending in September 2021.
He was appointed by “Tor Vergata” University of Rome to teach Academic Courses in Audioprosthetic Techniques, Medicine and Surgery and was Professor of Otorhinolaryngology (2 ECTS credits) for the Speech Therapy Course (S. Lucia Research Hospital). He was appointed an official teaching post for the Otorhinolaryngology Course at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of “Our Lady of Good Counsel” University of Tirana (Albania) for academic year 2017/2018. He is currently Scientific Director of UNITER non-profit organisation, based in Rome.
He has authored numerous articles, most of them published in international peer-reviewed journals and has participated as a speaker in a number of national and international congresses. He is a “Reviewer” for the journals “Scientific Reports”, “Acta Otolaryngologica”, “Clinical Rehabilitation”, “Brain Research”, “Biological Psychology”, “Brain”, “International Archives of Occupational and Environmental Health”, “The Journal Of Sports Medicine And Physical Fitness”, “Journal of Vestibular Research” and “Disability and Rehabilitation”.
His research interests include ENT disease and physical disease in general, disability and rehabilitation, oral health, oncology, balance disorders and the associated equilibriometric areas, sleep disorders, brain imaging, sensory processing disorders, central and peripheral vestibular disorders and their relationship with cognitive decline, deafness and anosmia. His research expertise also focuses on inferential and factor analysis implemented on many statistical software programs.
